Over the past five years, we have significantly reduced the number
of pollution incidents attributable to Yorkshire Water.
We’re constantly striving to identify the causes of sewage
pollution and take appropriate remedial action. We’re also
continuing with a multi-million pound programme of improvements to
sewage and waste water systems.
We’ve set up a dedicated pollution hotline number 0800 1 383
484 and made the following commitments to ensure we respond
effectively to any pollution incident:
we’ll treat every incident as an emergency and respond
within 2 hours
the incident will be dealt with continually until it is
resolved
